A day at the beach, or, Sunblock 101
Butter and I left early this morning to beat the rain at the beach. We drove back to Ft. De Soto park and spent three glorious hours bonding and splashing in the waves. There was running, and chasing, and fetching, and peeing, and sleeping. We met a puppy named Maggie. It was great, grand adventure. We loved it.
We also learned a valuable lesson in sunblock application. At this lattitude, UV rays are intense enough to precisely outline the areas of your body that you sunblocked, and fill them in with different colors depending on the thickness of application. It's like tan-by-numbers. Right my skin is a study in red. Note the circular area on my shoulder that is blindingly white surrounded by red. (See picture below) Children, let this be a lesson to you. Always apply EVENLY.
